How would I discover this out?
Looking at getting a new fundamental off of Ebay and apparently need to find out if the Federal Communications Commission I.D. number matches what I require?

As cold as just being the FCC # being the same i'm not sure. I cogitate the Federal Communications Commission can Be different but you want the number that looks like this the same: 8E0 837 220 L (thats what my # is) I could make up wrong but i'm jolly surely that's what you want!

I've also detected that close to times, regardless of the FCC#, a antecedently programed key fob (like what's oversubscribed on ebay) canful non be Re-programed to work your car.

If you vag-com OR access to it, you should be able to reprogram I believe. If it is anything like the mkIV VW keys then you need to repgrogram all the keys at the duplicate time.

Wasn't on that point just some class action mechanism lawsuit about reprogramming the keys? I don't remember what the sagaciousness was, but I got some letter in the mail from Audi about it...

I call back the letter said that you will need wholly the keys to reprogram 1 key. and to make for it to the dealership to do so. and if you have problems bring it to the dealership. I think it was just an informational letter more then anything!

I threw it absent, so I'm simply going away from memory here, but I believe it was saying that Audi illegally prevented people from getting rekeyed from 3rd parties. Thus not complete key places may induce the necessary equipment, but it's on paper possible to bugger off a key to work without going direct the trader. Information technology may just be easier/cheaper to undergo the dealer at any rate, though. :)

I am going from retentiveness to a fault. All i know is that I solitary deliver 1 key fob and the plastic key. I would really corresponding other one but $300ish for a key isn't worth it right right away!

I named one north dallas principal a couple months ago and He quoted something along the lines of $120 for the FOB, $65 for the Key Vane, and then $60 labor to program complete the keys.
